
Aims and objective of the course
To provide medical, pharmacy and life science graduates with an advanced understanding of the methodologies and processes required for the translation of laboratory-based science/technology into practical clinical/healthcare application.
Course Outcome:
On successful completion of the MSc in Clinical Research, students will be able to demonstrate the following key skills
- A detailed understanding of the concepts, principles and methodologies critical in Clinical Research particular in an emerging environment as currently being experienced in India.
- A thorough objective appreciation of the complex moral, social and legal aspects of ethics as they affect clinical research globally.
- A critical appreciation of the similarities and differences in the application of clinical research for commercial sponsors and/or academic partners – specific emphasis will be placed on accountability, confidentiality and quality assurance
A need for these skills to be appropriately employed for the benefit of regulatory bodies, commercial sponsors; clinicians; academia and patients

Life Science graduates, pharmacy graduates and medical Doctors
Entry Requirements
Candidates must hold ONE of the following:
- A minimum of a US lower second class honours degree (or an overseas award deemed to be of the same standard and level as the US degree) in one of the following disciplines: biology, biochemistry, biomedical science, medicine, medicinal chemistry, nursing, pharmacology, pharmacy, physiology, toxicology
- Candidates who have one year's relevant experience/training and/or currently be employed in clinical research will be an advantage. In exceptional cases a blend of qualifications, motivation and relevant experience my be considered
